Aleksandra Sidor
is a Polish visual artist who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Bournemouth. Sidor’s artistic style is deeply influenced by Polish avant-garde movements and psychoanalytic theories. Her unsettling works explore themes of perception, awareness, and consciousness, using a richly ornamental visual language combined with irony and a surrealist sense of the uncanny. She draws inspiration from historical illustrations as well as the social, cultural, and political changes around her, often focusing on the transformative encounters between bodies and other beings, while examining the intimate dynamics within these relationships.
